Modi has so far polled 6,14,234 votes against 2,02,407 votes recorded in favour of Mistry. The lead of Modi has come to 4,11,827 votes. Apart from Vadodara, Modi is also contesting from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh where he is pitted against Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal and Ajay Rai of Congress.
Trends so far show BJP leading in all 26 seats of Gujarat.
