Madurai: Railway authorities stopped a Mysuru-bound express to recover a baby's feeding bottle which had fallen on the railway track just as the train was about to start from here, a railway official said on Friday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when the signal was given to the Tuticorin-Mysore Express to proceed and the mother accidentally dropped the feeding bottle, Station Manager Premkumar said.

Passengers on the platform raised an alarm and urged Premkumar to stop the train following which a message was sent to the guard and driver to stop it.

Some passengers helped the woman pick up the bottle and the train left as soon as it was recovered.
