Sleuths of Koregaon Park police station have registered a case against an unidentified person, who had allegedly assaulted an auto rickshaw driver with a sharp weapon and decamped with his vehicle
Abu Ibrahim Shaikh (29), a resident of Parvati, filed the complaint According to the police, Shaikh was assaulted by an unidentified person when he was taking a nap inside his rickshaw near a restaurant at Bund Garden area around 9.30 pm on Saturday.u00a0

“The attacker allegedly assaulted Shaikh with a sharp weapon after pulling him outside the rickshaw when he was taking a nap and later fled with the vehicle,” said API VK Jatak of the police station.
He said that the injured rickshaw driver then managed to reach the police station and lodged a complaint. “He was then rushed to the Sassoon Hospital where he is now recuperating,” he added. u00a0
