Kolhapur sex scandal: Suspended cops plead not guilty

Kolhapur sex scandal: Suspended cops plead not guilty

Two suspended police officers Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Parkale and Police Inspector Dnyaneshwar Munde pleaded not guilty before the fact-finding committee appointed by the State Commission for Women.

Sources said both told the committee they were innocent and have been falsely implicated in the sexual exploitation case of a woman constable, who was undergoing training at the Police Training Centre. The committee had asked both these officers to be present before it. Both the officers went to Mumbai
yesterday.

The five-member fact-finding panel consisted of former Bombay HC Judge Ratnakar Sindkar, Assistant Secretary of State Commission for Women S S Padal, Councillor A L Dangat, Advocate Nina Gauda, who visited the training centre and the Chhatrapati Pramilaraje Rugnalaya Hospital during their visit to Kolhapur.
