New Delhi: Former Indian Police Service officer Kiran Bedi, who Thursday joined the BJP, is likely to head the party's campaign in the national capital ahead of the Feb 7 assembly polls, party sources said.

According to the source, the decision will be taken in the Jan 19 meeting of the party's parliamentary board.

Meanwhile, the party is also hunting for a "safe seat" for Bedi from where she can win comfortably.
Bedi has reportedly expressed her desire to fight from Malviya Nagar constituency in south Delhi but state unit chief Satish Upadhyay too has his eyes set on the same seat.
