After Mid Day reported the admission scam to junior KG for 2015-16 session at Sacred Heart School, Kalyan, the education officer has taken matters in his hands

Inspection at school that took three-year advance bookings

On October 5, MiD DAY broke the story on how Sacred Heart School, Varap Gaon on the Kalyan-Murbad Road had opened advance bookings for admissions to junior KG for the 2015-16 session. Following the report, A G Shinde, education officer Kalyan rural block, has said that he has not received any complaint from parents. “It is shocking to know that the school is conducting admission procedures three years in advance. The infants are not even eligible for it. We will carry out an inspection,” says Shinde.u00a0

Breaking news
MiD DAY correspondents, Kranti Vibhute and Sujit Mahmulkar, posed as parents of a one year-old child to clarify whether the complaint they received from a reader was true. They were told that admissions had already concluded and closed for the next two academic years. When asked about fees, a school official, who introduced himself as Davis, handed over a pamphlet under the heading ‘Sacred Heart School Junior KG Admission Details (2015-16)’ that gave a detailed fee structure. It also mentions that infants who are aged one as on October 1, 2012, are eligible for admission for two sessions later.
