A case of molestation was registered at the IGI airport police station and the man was arrested but later granted bail, they said.
The incident occurred on flight AI-102, which took off from New York's JFK Airport on Sunday, when the man, who was already inebriated, demanded more drinks and asked the airhostess to get it immediately. Later, he followed her to the galley where he allegedly abused her and touched her inappropriately, the sources said.
Following this, other crew members came and overpowered him and informed the police when the flight landed in Delhi.
The man, who's an engineer in a US real estate firm, was arrested on arrival and a case of molestation was registered against him, they said.
An airline spokesperson said after the incident, the commander handed over the passenger to the CISF on landing who later transfered him to the police.
