If you've always thought that Christmas has to be celebrated like the firangs, then we won't blame you, so did we! But here are two restaurants that plan to bring in Christmas in their own unique waysu00a0-- Desi style.u00a0

Terracotta at Taj Vivanta is planning to celebrate Christmas with its new spread of delicacies catered to the Indian palate.

They plan to follow the same old European tradition with a plated 4-course Christmas meal. So where's the twist, you ask? Well, they've added a touch of Indian spices and regional flavors.u00a0

The menu will include favourites like amuse bouche made of coriander and asparagus mousse with duo of chutneys, turkey gilafi or minced meat flavoured with light spices and coated with assorted peppers and char grilled, turkey galouti or pan grilled patties flavored with saffron and kewda, stuffed with cheddar cheese and finally turkey mathania, which are morsels of meat marinated with robust chilies and yoghurt, cooked in a tandoor and spiked with lemon. Also look forward to delicacies like the Norwegian pink salmon curry flavored with fenugreek and mustard, the khumb pulao, the broccoli jalfrezi, which is stir fried broccoli with onions, tomatoes and home pounded spices flavoured with fresh coriander, as a part of your plated meal.

And to end it all, the dessert is a special for the season with a Christmas platter consisting of curried chocolate and caramel nut tart, warm plum pudding halva and rose petal ice cream and like that's not enough, you can also indulge in some petite fours and mint chocolates. Be a glutton, this Christmas for good reason.

The special Goan Christmas dinner will however celebrate Christmas day with some all time favourites from the land of the sun, dig into their chicken xacuti, mutton vindaloo, chicken cafreal, fish rechad, bibinca, dodol and prawn peri-peri.

The Goan special will cost you Rs 1,000 and is on December 25.
