Ambience: The store sports an earthy look as it is done up in white and dark brown. The lighting is subdued, giving it a soft, glowing look. The spacious store is divided into sections for kurtis, skirts and pants, hand-embroidered products, furnishings, sarees, shawls and bags. There is a loft above that is dedicated to men and children.u00a0u00a0
"Our designs blend contemporary sensibilities with traditions of excellence. The designers combine the graphic and the colourful, by using modern printing techniques, to keep pace with a fast-moving market," says Archana Bajaj, Store Manager. They use natural fabrics, which allow the skin to breathe and add to your comfort.
Products: Anokhi is part of a growing movement that taps into the skills of local craftspeople and gives those crafts a modern twist. Hand-blocked prints, hand-woven fabrics, and natural dyes are their hallmarks. The products include garments for men, women, and children, and a wide range of home furnishings. But they only have few options for men and offer just shirts and kurtas.
We liked: The Mix and Match collection was worth buying. You can pick up any kurti and team it up with any dupatta or pant, of your choice. They had very colourful bahi-khatas (account books). The quilts were lightweight and comfortable and ideal if you want to create a cozy effect in your room. Some of the printing blocks on display could be used as personalised logos.
