FTII alumnus Pitabosh Tripathy's film I am Kalam addresses issues of education and child labour

Pitabosh Tripathy, an upcoming talent in Bollywood, and an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India was in the city to promote his latest film, I am Kalam. "The film is about dreams, importance of education and elimination of child labour which is very much prevalent in India. The film conveys a simple message, 'Dare to dream'," said Tripathy.

It was three and a half years before Tripathy got his big break in films. He has been trying hard and believes it's all a matter of probability along with hard work and luck. "If we hit a goal post 200 times, it is likely that the goal hits 10 times but if we try thousand times, it is of course likely to happen much more. The same thing I did and that's how I am here today," said Pitabosh. "And I don't plan anything; I take it as life gives it."

About his expectations from his latest movie, he said, "After going through the script and getting into the character all I expect is that I entertain people as they want me to." Tripathy said making of I am Kalam was a fabulous experience. "We were shooting in Bikaner for about a month and when we have such experienced actors like Gulshan Grover, it's always a great learning experience."u00a0 On a concluding note he said, "For all budding actors, it is necessary you work hard on your craft and luck will follow."
