So 27-year-old Sucheta Chadha decided to do a Masters in Strategic Human Resource Management at the University of Wollongong, Dubai, alongside her day job as a marketing executive.
"A Masters had always been on my agenda, but after an undergraduate degree and a post-graduate diploma, I was looking for something specific.

I've spent four and half years working now and after sufficient practical experience, I finally found a fit with the programme I'm doing now that offers an in-depth education on human resource management," she said.
It's not easy juggling work and an education, but the fortunate thing is that the lectures only happen twice a week in the evening and the faculty's always available on e-mail. "Fortunately, my company's been supportive of my education and the faculty have been understanding about work pressures and commitments," she said.
"I'd definitely recommend further education; it's an invaluable addition to your skill set and especially in a job market like Dubai that is competitive and growing."
