Bhavani has already consulted a numerologist on her chances of victory from Ramanagara following Kumaraswamy's election to the Lok Sabha from Bangalore Rural. "Bhavani contacted me on Monday for predictions," said Basavraj,u00a0 her numerologist in Kaiwara. "She wanted to know about her career in politics and chances of winning from Ramanagara."
Gowda in trouble
Basavraj is right, if sources are to be believed. Though the party is still to recover from the Lok Sabha elections and start thinking about by-elections, both Gowda and Kumaraswamy don't want her contesting from Ramanagara.
"Father and son are against it," said a source close to Gowda's family. "This is not the first time Bhavani is eyeing an assembly seat. Gowda is worried it will trigger differences in the family as in the past when Kumaraswamy chose wife Anitha over her to contest in the Madhugiri by-elections. The family is looking for an alternative."
The 'A' factor
It's not, however, the father-son duo Bhavani is worried about but co-sister and MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy.
"Bhavani was concerned about the letter 'A'," said Basavraj. "She asked if she would have any trouble from 'A' and how she could avoid it."
Bhavani was not available for comment.
