Girl raped by cousin commits suicide in UP

A 20-year-old girl committed suicide after allegedly being raped by her cousin in Baniyather area here, police said today.

Victim's brother alleged that the girl hanged herself at her residence in Shaympur Bhuri village last evening after being raped by her cousin Shiv Kumar, they said.u00a0

A case of abetment to suicide has been lodged against the accused and the body has been sent for post-mortem for further probe, they said.
