Almora: Noted freedom fighter Jagdish Sharan Pande who had worked for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's Azad Hind Fauz died here on Thursday after prolonged illness, official sources said here. He was 95.

Pande who worked for Netaji's Azad Hind Force had even been jailed for two years in Burma in 1943-44. He also did active social work after Independence. Pande was the resident of village Bhatkot, 95 km from here.

His mortal remains were consigned to flames with full state honours.
