However, airport officials said after almost a week, the impact of fog on air traffic was not as severe and most of the early morning flights took off as per schedule.u00a0 A total of 144 flights, including 60 domestic arrivals, 57 domestic departures and 16 international arrivals and 11 international departures took place during the dense fog conditions, said airport officials.

The visibility improved at around 12.30 pm and low visual procedure remained in place for around four hours. Delhiites got a bit of respite from the chilling cold on Monday as the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.3 degrees Celsius, one degree above the normal minimum temperature at this time of the season.

The season's lowest temperature was experienced on Friday when the minimum temperature plummeted to four degrees Celsius. The chilling cold gripped the capital on Saturday too, prompting the Delhi Government issue advisories to schools not to have classes for students up to the eighth standard till Tuesday.
