Flowers have enthused many an artist, including greats like Van Gogh, as well as philosophers who marvel on their short life, which still spreads joy among others. That was also what appealed to artist Tripat Lall (Panchkula), who in her first solo exhibition chose flowers as her central theme.

Lall has been a teacher for almost two decades who pursued painting as a hobby. "But two years back, I realised that I required some change. It was then that I decided to invest more time towards it," she says.

She admits she was always inclined towards nature and landscapes. "Flowers appeal to me a lot and I like spending hours looking at them. In fact, gardening is one of my favourite pastimes," she adds.

Her paintings offers a kaleidoscope of life in its manifold hues while the background feature abstract motifs.
