The Road Transport and Highways Ministry are in the process of giving final touches to having the provisions of pledge in the driving licence issued to any individual. The smart card-based driving licences will have a chip with all the information stored.
The driver will have to mention whether he permits the concerned authorities to extricate the organ from the deceased, which can either be preserved or transplanted immediately.
