With the trail of his sex-racket leading to all corners of the country, cops decide to limit the probe to the national capital

Rajiv Ranjan Dwivedi aka Sex Baba is now safely lodged behind bars. But it seems the police don't know what to do with him. The fact that Baba ran a huge prostitution racket under the guise of his ashram is now well known.
But every passing day of investigation is throwing up new connections and fresh leads. The list of cities where the Baba had networks has been growing steadily. Links have been established in adjoining NOIDA and Gurgaon and other metros like Kolkata and Mumbai. And now the police are planning to go slow.

"Baba and his associates could arrange a girl or an agent for a girl at various places. It could be Mumbai, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Noida or any other city. If we keep probing, we will get more and more details. But we have to concentrate on the Baba, as he is the main accused. If we concentrate on others, it will hamper the probe," said an investigating officer.

"It would be difficult to locate the agents and then catch hold of them. It would be even more difficult to prove charges against them in courts. Hence we are limiting the investigation to the cases against Baba in Delhi," he added.

Police sources said, it was easy for Dwivedi to develop such contacts, after acquiring 'sainthood.'u00a0 Baba was also running a website, as his clients were spread across the country and he had to stay in touch. He apparently had plans of going global and had contacts in Las Vegas. But police said this aspect couldn't be investigated. Meanwhile, Dwivedi's police custody has been extended by another six days.
