Osho International Resort in Koregaon Park is now under the police scanner as National Investigating Agency (NIA) revealed that the US terror suspect David Coleman Headley had visited the resortu00a0u00a0 and spent some time there. Headley, the alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) member held by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for planning terror attacks in India and Denmark, had visited the Osho resortu00a0 twice u2014 in June 2008 and March 2009.
Ma Amrit Sadhana, spokesperson, Osho Commune, confirmed that Headley had visited the resort, but said they did not have any details about him.
"Nearly 20,000 people visit the resort. It is not possible for us to find out their motive or look into their background. This is a place open to everyone. But we are cooperating with the investigating agency," she told MiD DAY.
"When he visited the commune we asked him to undergo the mandatory HIV test. Once he cleared that we allowed him entry. We don't know if he came alone or with someone," she added.
DCP Rajendra Sonawane said, "We did receive a letter from the Osho commune that that a US passport holder David Headley had visited them twice and this they have on record. Now, we will investigate the matter."
