The man who was caught selling foreign brand liquor onu00a0 Facebook might have been getting the supply from his father, a customs officer. Excise Department officials who blew the lid over the racket being run on the popular social networking site from south Delhi's posh Sainik Farms area have learnt that the kingpin Dhul's father works in a customs warehouse.

It is suspected the father may also have been helping Dhul, who is still at large.

Excise officials recovered bottles of high end foreign liquor like Johnny Walker, Black Label, Belvedere Vodka, Baileys Cream, Tequila and Moet & Barton.

A senior excise official told MiD DAY: "His (Dhul) father worked in warehouse operation of Customs Department and apparently this connection was being exploited by him to procure foreign liquor."

The investigating officials said the racket was being run for years now. "Earlier they used to deliver the liquor over by taking orders over phone and for the past around one year they had made groups on social networking sites like Facebook, Naymz and Orkut by the name of 'Whisky on Wheels'.

They took orders on emails and from these groups, where they have given the e-mail addresses and phone numbers, he said.

On Wednesday, the Excise Department busted the racket which was being operated online to provide liquor in posh colonies of south Delhi.

Three people Manoj Gupta, Ravinder Singh, and Vincent Nathan u2014 have been arrested while the hunt is still on for Dhul, the alleged mastermind.
