Chennai: Foreign currency worth Rs 26 lakh has been allegedly recovered from a Singapore-bound passenger, airport officials said today.


Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials recovered US dollars and Euros from Alauddin Abdul Rahim of Ramanathapuram district in the state when he arrived here late last night to proceed to Singapore, they said.


He was taken into custody for questioning, officials said, adding, DRI officials were acting on a tip-off.
