CBSE - The Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) was set up in 1952. The board conducts two major examination every year in the month of March for All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class 10 and 12. The CBSE board also conducts AIEEE exam for engineering and architecture courses in various colleges in India.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) used to conduct CBSE Board Exams i.e. CBSE 10th Board Exam and CBSE 12th Board Exams every year in the Month of March. In similar manner CBSE board has conducted CBSE 10th Board Exam in the month of March between 1st March 2014 till 19th March 2014.
Numerous students used to appeard for the Central Board of Secondary Examination every year. This year (2014), around 13,28,970 candidates appeared for CBSE Class 10th X Board Exam 2014 i.e. From total students 7,93,940 boys and 5,35,030 girls appeared for the Class 10th board exam 2014.
452 visually impaired, 788 dyslexics, 232 hearing and speech impaired and 1,527 physically challenged, 161 spastics and 20 autistic appeared for the CBSE 10th board examination. Around 12,871 schools participated in the 10th board exams, the board examination were conducted at 3,253 places. From the total number of centers, 605 were local centers, 66 were foreign and 8 centers are for special category students i.e. for blind students in the capital city, Delhi.
The marking scheme for CBSE board result had been changed so far. Earlier the CBSE board used to give marks in percentage. However, from last five year there is a change in the marking scheme of CBSE Board examination. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced grading system instead of giving marks in percentages. Those students who feels that they need to improve their grades can reappear for the improvement examinations same year in the month of July.
