Caught on camera: NCP MLA from Karjat slaps Deputy Collector in Raigad

Nationalist Congress Party MLA from Karjat, was caught on camera assaulting a deputy collector. The incident took place at the latter's office in Raigad.

Cameras picked up Suresh Lad, NCP MLA from Karjat slapping the senior bureaucrat, while the latter kept pleading him to stop the assault.

Lad, however has denied that the incident ever occured.

This isn't the first instance of a politician losing his cool and resorting to violence.

In July, BJP MP Bahadur Singh Koli was caught on a camera for slapping a toll attendant in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. The toll attendant was thrashed by Koli and his aides after he tried to stop Koli's vehicle which crossed through the toll plaza without paying. (Read more)
