CPI-M setting up suicide squad to eliminate me: Mamata

"These cowards (some CPI-M ministers and leaders) have no courage to fight against me politically and thus forming a suicide squad to eliminate me," she said.

"CPI-M and some other political parties which have vested interests - I am not speaking about all parties - have held a meeting and hatched a conspiracy to eliminate me. Such a meeting was held, you can inquire," Banerjee told reporters in her residence here.u00a0

She alleged that at the meeting, CPI-M leaders discussed about forming a suicide squad to eliminate her.u00a0

Banerjee claimed that West Bengal government also knew about the meeting.u00a0

"CPI-M ministers and leaders are keeping a watch on my movements. They are enquiring about my movements. A conspiracy is afoot to kill me," she alleged.u00a0

"Is it fair politics? They cannot fight us politically. They are cowards," she said.u00a0

She also alleged a suicide squad was formed by CPM to eliminate Trinamool Youth Congress president and Haldia MP Shubhendu Adhikari.u00a0

Asked how she knew about the suicide squads, Banerjee said: "Why is the CPI-M setting up so many camps of armed cadre in West Midnapore? Because they want to kill me."u00a0
