A private car of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inspector was stolen from an area adjacent to the high security CGO complex.

According to the police, inspector GM Rathi had parked his car in front of the new CBI office near CGO complex in the morning of April 6. When he returned, he found that his car was not there. "The officer has filed an FIR and we are investigating the case," said a police officer.

The CGO complex is guarded by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. who are deployed at every entry and exit gate. No one is allowed to enter the complex without proper identification. The cops suspect some insider's role in the incident.

"The CGO complex is one of the most highly protected areas in Delhi. The offices of CBI, CRPF, CISF and many more government agencies are located in the complex. So such a security breach is impossible without the help of an insider," said a police officer.

Sources said that the police are taking this breach of security seriously as intelligence agencies had recently reported that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim might attack CBI office to destroy the documents related to 2G scam which the agency is investigating.
