The complainant had on October 22 submitted a proposal to the zilla parishad for sanctioning drainage works in Panchshil Nagar of Karanjavan village in Nashik's Dindori taluka, the Anti-Corruption Bureau said in a release here. However, the BDO, Rajaram Zaga Mohite, allegedly demanded Rs 40,000 for granting the proposal.
The complainant then informed the ACB which laid a trap and caught the BDO red-handed while he was accepting the
bribe in Dindori last evening, the ACB said. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections, it added.
