Three stray dogs were apparently shot dead by unknown persons at Alluri Sitaramaraju Nagar in Gudimalkapur, which falls within the Tappachabutra police station limits in Hyderabad.

This is the second case of animal cruelty to occur in the city. The canines were apparently discovered bled to death at a farmhouse by the residents of an adjoining housing society. The police have registered a case against the unidentified culprits.
In July, three people were caught on camera for tying three puppies together and then setting them on fire in Hyderabad.
According to a news channel, the three youths who burnt the puppies alive also shot a video of the incident where one of the youths tells the others how to set the puppies on fire.
The incident happened at Vazir graveyard near Ek Minar mosque in Hyderabad’s Musheerabad area on Saturday evening and the video was found on the social networking site Facebook. (Read more)
Also last month in Chennai, an MBBS student named Sudarshan allegedly threw the dog from the top of a building here, which was videographed by his friend. Soon after the footage went viral in the social media, animal welfare activists filed a complaint with police. The duo were arrested the next day, but were soon released on bail. (Read more)
In May, more than 20 dogs were allegedly poisoned to death in Bhayandar east. It was believed that an unidentified person, who allegedly killed the dogs had mixed poison in the food offered to them. CCTV cameras installed near the boundary of the building have captured the video of the man, who fed the dogs. (Read more)
