An 18-month-old girl accidentally came under the wheels of a car driven by her father and died on Sunday. A Times of India report said the father did not notice the girl coming in front of the car. Chandrayangutta police said around 3.45am, Khaleed Saari, 28, was taking out his car and his daughter suddenly came in front of the vehicle. Saari did not notice her and began to drive.

On realising what had happened, Saari and his family rushed the girl to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. A case was registered under section 304 A (negligence causing death) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Meanwhile, a local patrolling van received information from locals and reached the spot to enquire about the child's death. "Khaleed did not see the baby standing in front of the car. He drove the car, causing Huda to come under the front tyres of the car. She sustained severe head injuries," the Chandrayangutta police was quoted as saying in the report.
