Says Azim Khan, whose sister was molested by four youngsters. The boys are out on bail

No brother would like to be in the shoes of Azim Khan.

Four boys who barged into his house at Hazrat Nizamuddin area of south Delhi and molested his sister Salma (name changed) are back to haunt her and the family.

While Salma, 23, has stopped venturing out of her house in fear of her alleged tormentors, Azim believes now only the Police Commissioner of Delhi can help him tide over this "crisis".

She could identify them as the three boys used to pass lewd comments at her whenever Salma came out of the house. On hearing the cries of the family, Salma's uncle Salim Khan came to their rescue. But, one of the boys stabbed him with a broken glass bottle.

After a police complaint was lodged at the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station, the three accused were arrested while the fourth remainsu00a0 unidentified. They were sent to jail but all are out on bail now.

u00a0"Salma had to give up her job as a computer teacher with an NGO because she is too afraid to go out now," said Khan, who works with a Noida-based wireless equipment manufacturing firm.

"It's torture. Those who attacked us, molested my sister, stabbed my uncle are roaming free and tormenting us all over again," Khan said.

The 27-year-old executive has decided to take up his case at the highest level and has written to YS Dadwal, Police Commissioner, Delhi, seeking help. Khan's uncle Saleem Khan also alleged the accused threatened him while he was recuperating at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

"The doctors had to perform a critical operation to remove glass pieces out of my body. But they reached here and threatened me and my wife. I shifted to a private hospital then," he said.

A medico-legal report of the accused had confirmed that they consumed alcohol before committing the crime.

A senior police official assured immediate action, if another complaint is lodged in the matter. "We took quick action when the first incident was reported. We will act again if the Khan family approaches us for help and registers another complaint against the miscreants," he said.
