But, the transvestites gave chase because he had not paid them their fee. The chase continued into Gandhi Nagar in Chamrajpet even as bemused pedestrians looked on. The terrified man finally got away after two policemen patrolling the area, managed to restrain the duo before they could get a hold of their quarry and took them to the police station for questioning.
Inspector B G Ratnakar from the Chamrajpet police station, said, "Unfortunately, the man who was being chased got away. But, we know that these two transvestites stole Rs 500 from him before he could escape. We will keep them here tonight on charges of robbery."
He added, "Prostitution has become a huge problem in the city and and transvestites are making it worse by robbing people." "He gave us the money saying it was for the room charge and auto fare. But, when he realised that we were not women, he didn't want us anymore," complained Sneha, one of the transvestites.
Both transvestites claimed that they had got breast implants just three months ago to woo men.
Sneha said, "I got my breasts done three months ago to be more like a woman, but men still run away from me."
