A day after he targeted BJP President Nitin Gadkari for land grabbing, activist Arvind Kejriwal said that more truths would soon be dug up
India Against Corruption leader Arvind Kejriwal (in pic) on Thursday said his revelations about alleged corrupt dealings involving BJP chief Nitin Gadkari were “the tip of the iceberg” and a detailed probe would bring out “more truths”.u00a0A day after his disclosures targeting Gadkari, the activist-turned-politician told reporters: “If there is a detailed investigation, more truths will be exposed.”

“We have just started the process, it has to be taken forward.” On Wednesday, Kejriwal had accused Gadkari of grabbing land from Maharashtra farmers in collaboration with the Congress government in the state.u00a0Gadkari had on Wednesday denied the charges as baseless, and said he was ready for a probe. He has been accused of stealing “water, power and land of poor farmers”.
Kejriwal alleged that the government in Maharashtra bent rules to give away land owned by farmers to Gadkari, who is also a businessman.u00a0He alleged that the land left after building a dam should have been returned to the farmers from whom it was bought, but instead it was sold cheaply to Gadkari.u00a0Kejriwal said that water from the dam was also diverted to factories in the area, instead of being given to the farms.
Kejriwal pulls up Gadkari for ‘chillar’ remark
Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at Nitin Gadkari over his ‘chillar’ remark, saying the revelations against the latter is a matter of the life and death for the farmers, who are committing suicides. “When we unearth a scam of the Congress they say it’s ‘chillar’; now the BJP says these charges are ‘chillar’. For Gadkari, it may be a ‘chillar’ , but for farmers, it isn’t a ‘chillar’. It is a matter of life and death for them.”
