Maha: Chandrapur police design mobile toilet for women cops on bandobast duty
The police in Maharashtra`s Chandrapur district have specially designed and dedicated a mobile toilet facility for women personnel who are on bandobast duty, an official said on Friday. Considering the health and hygiene issues faced by women in the district`s police force, Superintendent of Police Ravindrasingh Pardesi came up with the project under which an unused police van was redesigned into a mobile toilet by the motor vehicle wing of the department, the official said. Koregaon Bhima inquiry commission not given Mumbai office by Maha govt, to function from only Pune
The two-member inquiry commission probing the 2018 Koregaon Bhima violence said on Friday it would be functioning only from its Pune office henceforth as the Maharashtra government could not provide it premises in Mumbai for administrative work. (PTI)

Court accepts CBI`s closure report in cheating case against BJP leader Mohit Kamboj
A special court in Mumbai on Friday accepted a closure report filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a cheating case against local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mohit Kamboj and others. The CBI in 2020 registered a case against five persons, including Kamboj, for alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery pertaining to a loan of Rs 57.26 crore from the Bank of India. (PTI)

Maha: Bombay HC orders offence against Indurikar Maharaj over remarks
The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court on Friday directed the police to register a case against popular Marathi `kirtankar` (preacher) Nivrutti Maharaj Indurikar for his alleged remarks on the timing of intercourse and the gender of child.
