Boulders broke loose from a hillock and crashed onto the road in Bhayander city of Maharashtra's Thane district on Saturday, a civic official said.

No one was injured in the incident, which took place in Bhayander Pada area around 2.30 pm, disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said.
Local firemen and a RDMC team rushed to the spot and have started clearing the boulders from the road, which leads to rental civic accommodations, he said, adding that JCB machines are being used at the scene.
Meanwhile, three persons were killed after their car fell into a 500-feet deep gorge here in the wee hours of Saturday, police said.
The accident took place at Swarghat in the Dharkanshi area here when the car driver lost control over the vehicle and it slipped into the gorge, they added.
Following the accident, Pintu and Khushi died on the spot. The third person, Sachin, was missing and his body was recovered after a few hours, the police said.
The trio had travelled here from Noida in Uttar Pradesh, they said.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, the police added.

In another incident, a 55-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a rolling stone from a hillock amid heavy rains in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
Abdul Rashid Bhat was on his way to Chakki in Pogal Paristan area when he was fatally hit by the shooting stones, Tehsildar Nasir Javed said.
He said Pogal Paristan witnessed heavy rains, cloudburst and flash floods in the morning, also damaging a residential house at Alinbass-A, Chanbas, while a portion of Ukhral-Senabathi road was damaged.
A bridge abutment near Magarkote, Sujmatrna was swept away in the flash floods, leaving several villages including Khowra, Dragali, Dardahi and Ahma without connectivity, the official said. (Agencies)
