PM Modi in Mumbai: Prime Minister inaugurates Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah Arabic Academy in Andheri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached Mumbai to inaugurate various projects in the city. He also flagged off two new Vande Bharat trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). PM Modi later visited Marol in Andheri where he inaugurated the Mumbai campus of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah Arabic Academy, premier educational institute of the Dawoodi Bohra.


During his visit to Marol, PM Modi met the Dawoodi Bohra community leader His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin.


Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said, "I am here neither as a PM nor a CM. The fortunate things is that I have something that perhaps very few people received. I have been connected to this family for four generations. All four generations have visited my home," the ANI reported.


On the parameters of change with time and development, Dawoodi Bohra community has always proven itself. Today, the expansion of important educational institutions like Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah is a living example of the same, as per the ANI.

PM said, Visiting Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah campus and family is like visiting my own family, as per the PTI.

"Dawoodi Bohra community has stood test of transforming according to times. Atmosphere of unprecedented trust created in last few years. In last eight years, one university and two colleges were opened in India every week," he said, the PTI reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off two Vande Bharat trains in Mumbai. On the occasion, PM Modi said that they exemplify the speed and scale of India's progress. Prime Minister Modi flagged off the Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express and Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express on Friday, taking the total number of such trains in the country to 10. He also boarded a Vande Bharat train and met children in one of the coaches. 

Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said these trains will benefit students and office-goers while also facilitating devotees and farmers.

"For the first time, two Vande Bharat trains have been flagged off at once. They'll connect financial centres such as Mumbai and Pune to centres of religious significance. They will benefit college and office-goers, farmers and devotees. It will also boost tourism and pilgrimage," PM Modi said.He further informed that as on date, Vande Bharat trains connect as many as 108 districts of 17 states."
