Late on Wednesday night, Nalasopara was jolted by a massive fire followed by multiple explosions which were believed to be caused by gas cylinders. The chaos erupted at Dhaniv Baug.

According to the information received, in the blaze that erupted in Dhaniv Baug, six heavy vehicles parked in the vicinity were gutted.

The high-amplitude sound waves from the explosions had a powerful impact shattering glass windows in the surrounding area.

According to a report in ANI, the fire broke out in an open parking lot in Nalasopara. According to the report, the officials reached the spot to douse the fire as soon as they were alerted.  A truck full of chemicals was also parked in the parking lot, which caught fire," they told the news agency,

The officials told ANI that no injuries or casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, a tanker carrying LPG dashed against the side wall of a flyover leading to gas leakage. Per the PTI report, the cops appealed to the people residing within 500 metres periphery of the accident spot to not switch on their cooking stoves to prevent any accidents.

Vehicular movement in the area was blocked and the power supply was disconnected as a precautionary measure, the officials told PTI.

According to the report, the tanker hit the crash barrier at the entry point of the flyover in CIDCO Chowk area Jalna road at around 5 am and suffered damage.

A police official told PTI, "We are trying to shift the gas from the tanker to another vehicle to control the leakage. The road has been blocked for traffic and the electricity supply has also been disconnected."
