After witnessing a downward trend for the last two days, Mumbai’s test positivity rate (TPR) dipped further on Saturday and fell below 1 (0.98 per cent).


The new cases also marginally dipped. As per the BMC report, 405 new cases were reported on Saturday, along with six deaths.


The state’s Covid-19 cases fell below the 3,000 mark on Saturday. As per the state health department report, 2,696 cases were reported. MMR also saw a marginal dip in new cases. 


As per the state report, 890 cases were reported in the MMR region, including cases from Mumbai.

Apart from Mumbai, Raigad reported the maximum number of daily cases in the MMR region with 87 new cases. It was followed by Thane Municipal Corporation with 76 cases. While Navi Mumbai saw 58 cases, Thane had 38 cases and Mira-Bhayandar witnessed 46 cases. MMR, excluding Mumbai, registered four deaths on Friday.

Meanwhile, 49,987 first doses and 54,331 second doses of the vaccine were administered on Saturday.
