Western Railway announces special trains: In anticipation of the heightened travel demands during the Eid-E-Milad and Gandhi Jayanti festivals, Western Railway is set to operate Special Trains on a Special Fare route between Mumbai Central and Laxmibai Nagar. This decision aims to facilitate the convenience of passengers and ensure smooth travel during the festive period, the Western Railway said in a statement on Thursday.


According to the Public Relations Department of Western Railway, the key details of this special train service are as follows:


Train No. 09053/09054 Mumbai Central – Laxmibai Nagar Superfast Special (02 Trips)


Train No. 09053 Mumbai Central – Laxmibai Nagar Special will depart from Mumbai Central on September 30, 2023, at 21:35 hrs, reaching Laxmibai Nagar at 11:00 hrs the next day.

Similarly, Train No. 09054 Laxmibai Nagar – Mumbai Central Special will depart from Laxmibai Nagar on October 1, 2023, at 16:50 hrs, arriving at Mumbai Central at 05:20 hrs the following day.

This special service will include halts at key stations, providing accessibility to passengers at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Dahod, Ratlam, Ujjain, and Dewas stations in both directions.

Passengers can avail of various coach classes, including AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class, ensuring comfort and flexibility in travel.

The booking for Train No. 09053 and 09054 will commence on September 29, 2023, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Counters and the official IRCTC website. For comprehensive information regarding halt timings and coach compositions, passengers are encouraged to visit the Indian Railways Enquiry Portal.

In an another statement, the Western Railway said, due to four hours block on 29th September, 2023 from 13.25 hrs to 17.25 hrs, for launching of Open Web Girders for Road Flyover between Udhna and Niyol over Tapti Valley (TV) section of WR’s Mumbai Division, few Western Railway trains will be regulated/short-terminated.

According to a press release issued by Public Relations Department of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:

Regulation of Trains

1. Train No. 19007 Surat – Bhusaval Passenger will be regulated by 25 minutes.

2.  Train No. 22948 Bhagalpur – Surat SF Express will be regulated by 02 hrs 10 mins.

Short - Termination of Trains:

1.    Train No. 09378 Nandurbar – Udhna MEMU will be terminated at Gangadhara and reversed as Train No. 09095 Surat – Nandurbar MEMU Ex. Gangadhara.

Hence, Train No. 09378 Nandurbar – Udhna MEMU will remain partially cancelled between Gangadhara and Udhna while Train No. 09095 Surat – Nandurbar MEMU will remain partially cancelled between Surat and Gangadhara
