Mumbai: Traffic in Sakinaka area to be eased, Kajupada Pipe Line Road made no parking zone

In a traffic notification, Mumbai Police said, on both bounds of Kajupada Pipe Line Road in Sakinaka was being permanently declared as a 'No Parking Zone'

Mumbai Traffic Police on Wednesday issued a traffic notification making Kajupada Pipe Line Road in Sakinaka area of Mumbai a 'No Parking Zone'.


In a traffic notification, Mumbai Police said, whereas, Sakinaka Traffic Division has sent a report stating that due to the increased traffic on both bounds of Kajupada Pipe Line Road, huge traffic congestion is being created. Hence it is necessary to declare the said area as 'No Parking Zone' by issuing a permanent notification till further order.


The notification said, in order to prevent danger, obstructions and inconveniences to the public, a traffic notification was being issued.


The order was issued by M. Ramkumar, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Mumbai.

The order said that it was being hereby ordered as under-

- Below mentioned road shall be permanently declared as 'No Parking Zone' from Date 10/08/2023 from 00-00 hrs onwards till further order.

- No Parking- On both bounds of Kajupada Pipe Line Road (from Kale Marg Junction to St. Jude's School Junction) shall be permanently declared as 'No Parking Zone'.

Meanwhile, in May this year, the Mumbai Traffic Police had issued a list of areas in eastern suburbs of the city which have been no termed as 'no parking zones' after several locals complaint about the traffic congestion in the locality.

In a traffic notification, the Mumbai Traffic Police had said that whereas it has been observed that illegal parking in the jurisdiction of Antop Hill Traffic Division from Panchashil Nagar Nala to Arsh Hyundai Showroom, up to Godrej Coliseum Building Gate, Sewree, Chembur Road (North bound) is causing huge traffic congestion. 

The Mumbai Traffic Police notification had said that the local residents have made complaints of the rising traffic conditions on the locality and the Antop Hill Traffic Division has sent a report to declare the said area as a 'No Parking Zone'.

The notification had further said that the ongoing through the traffic situation, it is necessary to make an order to declare the said area as 'NO Parking Zone'.

It said that In order to prevent danger, obstruction and inconvenience to the public, it is being hereby ordered as under- 

The below mentioned premises shall be declared as a 'No Parking Zone' permanently from 00-01 hrs dated 06/05/2023.

No Parking Zone

Parking of all motor vehicles on North bond from Panchshil Nagar nala to Arsh Hyundai showroom, Godrej Coliseum Building gate, Sewri Chembur Road (North bond) Wadala, Mumbai shall be restricted permanently for 24 hours.
