Mumbai: Tansa Lake overflows as water storage surges

Rainfall boosts lake levels, easing Mumbai’s water crisis

Tansa Lake, which supplies water to Mumbai, overflowed on Wednesday evening at 4 pm. Water storage in all seven lakes increased by 17 days in just 24 hours. Water stock on Wednesday was at 58.13 per cent, with three gates of the dam open.
