An armourer associated with the Quick Response Team (QRT) of the Mumbai police has been apprehended for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident that occurred in Padgha, within Thane's Bhiwandi area, leaving two individuals injured, as confirmed by an official on Sunday.

Cousins Aziz Sayyed and Firoze Sheikh, who were riding a motorcycle, fell victim to gunshots and sustained injuries in the vicinity of Mainde village on the 13th of October. The assailant, concealed behind a mask, hastily departed the scene.
Shirdi Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sandeep Mitke, stated, "Mumbai Police QRT armourer, Suraj Devram Dokare, was arrested in close proximity to the Kolhar bus depot, situated in the Ahmednagar district. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Padgha police for further legal proceedings."
Dokare has been charged with attempted murder and other violations under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act, as declared by Mitke.
