According to the MMRDA's media statement, the closure will begin from near Kurla Signal towards Sion. The affected stretch, they stated, is from Kurla Signal (Anna Bhau Sathe Chowk) to Suman Nagar junction.
The MMRDA said that as a result of this closure, buses on route numbers 27, 354, 368, 385, C42 and C54, particularly those approaching SG Barve Marg Junction (Kurla Signal) shall cross the flyover without stopping. A temporary stop, said MMRDA, has been provided 400 metres after the Postal Kalani stop for passengers' convenience. This temporary stop is near Metro Pillar No.P131G, they said,
The media statement further stated that after the temporary stop, the mentioned routes will carefully take a right turn and proceed over the flyover. It is crucial for bus carriers and drivers operating on these routes to inform passengers in advance about this temporary arrangement.
"Importantly, there is no change when travelling in the opposite direction, and the road remains unaffected. This traffic advisory aims to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and passenger convenience during the construction work on Siddharth Nagar station of the Wadala-Kasarvadvali Thane Metro East Freeway," the media statement added.
