The two new lines of Mumbai Metro Yellow Line 2A and Red Line 7 had over a million commuters travelling within a week of its inauguration. “Since the inauguration of phase 2, more than 10 lakh commuters have used Metro Line 2A & 7. Both lines are fully operational now and are connected with Metro line 1, creating the first Metro network in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.  Also, because of its easy connectivity with the railway line through Metro 1, millions of Mumbaikars have benefited from it,” SVR Srinivas, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, said.
