A man from Bhayander has registered a complaint with the Navghar police about an anonymous caller who has been threatening him to make his wife's obscene photographs viral on social media. Cops said that the complaint said that the photos got leaked after his wife's phone got hacked by someone.

According to the complaint, on January 19, the complainant received a WhatsApp message on his phone from his wife's number. When he opened the message, he saw his wife's obscene photo. "The complainant called his wife but she refused to have sent him any such photographs and informed that her phone might have been hacked," an officer from Navghar police station said.

The complainant further stated that a few hours later he received another photograph on his phone followed by a call from an anonymous person, who claimed to have many such photographs with him and demanded Rs five lakh from the complainant for not posting it on social media.

Police said that prima facie the complaint has been registered against the caller of the number, and they are investigating the case further to trace the accused.
