Annual festival has a ‘Rang de Metro' theme this time and will have events such as workshops, art exhibitions

The Mumbai Metro One Private Limited has announced the launch of the annual Majhi Metro Festival 2021 that begins today, in association with National Academy Award winner and Executive Board Member of the Lalit Kala Academy, Kishore Kumar Das, and renowed artist Maruti Shelke, also executive member of the Lalit Kala Academy and faculty of Fine Arts at the Sir JJ School of Art.

According to a press release the ‘Rang de Metro’ theme will also have a first of its kind event of the same name, where national level artists and local artists will beautify the metro stations. All station interiors will be painted by renowned and budding artists from various art institutions selected by a jury.
Additionally, to commemorate the unity, togetherness of our country as we celebrate 75 years of Independence, one station will be dedicated for Independence related artwork supporting the Ministry of Culture & Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) campaign. The festival will include various sub-events like concept workshops, artwork painting at stations, art exhibition, etc.
