Mumbai recorded 115 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, pushing its case count to 11,50,248. There were no deaths related to the infection in the past 24 hours, keeping the death toll at 19,731. hospitalised including 2 on oxygen support. The city also witnessed the recovery and discharge of 106 patients in the past 24 hours, pushing its recovery count to 11,29,820.

The city currently has 697 active patients and a recovery rate of 98.2 per cent. Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Friday recorded 459 new Covid-19 cases and five more deaths linked to the infection, which took the state’s overall tally to 81,21,413 and the toll to 1,48,343, an official said. On Thursday, the state had recorded 453 cases and two fatalities.

Among the new fatalities, two were from Kalyan-Dombivli area of Thane district, and one each from Kolhapur, Vasai-Virar in Palghar, and Sindhudurg, he said. The recovery count increased by 538 in the past 24 hours and touched 79,69,878, leaving the state with an active caseload of 3,192, the official said. Data from the state health department further revealed the fatality rate was 1.82 per cent and the recovery rate stood at 98.13 per cent.
