Mumbai: Local trains on Western line delayed due to technical snag

Four locals on Churchgate-bound line and 3 locals on Virar-bound line had been held up. Tower Wagon to fix the issue has departed from Andheri at 10.55 am

Mumbai: Local trains on Western line delayed due to technical snag

Due to entangling of pantograph with the overhead wires, train movement has been affected

Morning rush hour services on Western Railway collapsed due to a technical snag on Thursday morning.


"Due to entangling of pantograph with the overhead wires of Churchgate – Borivli while entering Borivali at 10.28 am on platform no. 8, train movement has been affected," Western Railway chief public relations officer Sumit Thakur said.




Four locals on Churchgate-bound line and 3 locals on Virar-bound line had been held up. Tower Wagon to fix the issue has departed from Andheri at 10.55 am.

"We have been waiting on Platform no 8 for the train but there is no announcement. Please let us know the status of this train," commuter Neha Solanki said.
