Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will carry out night block between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations on Sunday.

According to the Western Railway, to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of 03.30 hours will be under taken on up and down fast lines from 00.30 hrs to 04.00 hrs between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations in the intervening night of Sunday/Monday, i.e. on 25th/26th February, 2024.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, all Fast line trains will be operated on Slow lines between Santacruz and Churchgate. Therefore, there will be no block in day time over Western Railway suburban section on Sunday 25th February, 2024.
"Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements,: the Western Railway said.
In an another statement, Western Railway said, for the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to run a Weekly Special train on Special Fare between Udhna and Jaynagar stations.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of the special train is as under:
Train No. 09039/09040 Udhna – Jaynagar Weekly Special Train [8 Trips]
Train No. 09039 Udhna – Jaynagar Special will leave Udhna every Wednesday at 20.35 hrs and will reach Jaynagar at 06.30 hrs on Friday. This train will run from 21st February to 13th March, 2024. Similarly, Train No. 09040 Jaynagar – Udhna Special will depart from Jaynagar every Friday at 11.30 hrs and will arrive Udhna at 22.00 hrs the next day. This train will run from 23rd February to 15th March, 2024.
Enroute, this train will halt at Chalthan, Nandurbar, Bhusaval, Itarsi Jn., Jabalpur, Katni Jn., Satna, Manikpur Jn., Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn., Buxar, Ara Jn., Patna Jn., Barauni Jn., Samastipur Jn., Darbhanga Jn. And Madhubani stations in both directions.
This train comprises of Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.
