Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh has been booked in a fourth case on Saturday. Businessman Bimal Agarwal has registered a case of extortion against Singh and others at Goregaon police station. The complainant has also mentioned Sachin Waze, Sumit Singh alias Chintu, Alpesh Patel, Vinay Singh alias Bablu and Riaz Bhati. The police have arrested Sumit Singh in the case, which has been transferred to the Crime Branch.

Agarwal has claimed in the complaint that the arrested accused, API Sachin Waze, had told Agarwal that his number one boss was Parambir Singh and that Singh had given Waze a target of collecting Rs 2 crore daily.

In his statement to the police, Agarwal said that after bars, restaurants and bookies, Singh’s next target was BMC contractors. Bimal told the police that Waze had come to know that complaints had been lodged against several civil contractors in the BMC. Waze allegedly asked Agarwal about a complaint filed by a person named Alla Rakha against Pritesh Godani and Sanjay Hirani of Swastik Construction.

While in jail, Waze had written a letter in which he said that Transport Minister Anil Parab had asked him to recover money from the BMC contractors. Agrawal clarified this in his statement, and said that it was he who had given BMC papers to Waze and the information related to it, and at that time, Waze had also told him that he would do this work as per the instructions of Parambir Singh.
