On Sunday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai was reported to be in the 'moderate' category, as per the SAMEER app

On Sunday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai was reported to be in the 'moderate' category, as per the SAMEER app.


The AQI data mapped by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), further revealed that of the total 22 stations in Mumbai, BKC, Byculla, Malad west areas reported 'poor' air quality on November 12 with AQI at 207, 209 and 216 respectively.


The minimum temperature in Mumbai on Sunday is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 33 degrees Celsius.


Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 152, in the 'moderate' category, around 11 am. Further, Navi Mumbai and Thane too reported 'moderate' air quality, with AQI at 148 and 158 respectively.

Further, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) revealed that Borivali (East), and Colaba in Mumbai are the least polluted with AQI at 99 and 100 respectively.

The data further reveals that the most prominent pollutant in Mumbai is PM 2.5 and PM10. While the most prominent pollutant in Thane is PM10 and O3.

The most prominent pollutant in Navi Mumbai is PM 10. While, overall Navi Mumbai's AQI stands in 'moderate' category, Taloja area reported 'good' air quality with AQI at 98.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
