A seven-feet-long Indian Rock Python was rescued from an autorickshaw in Dahisar by volunteers of Amma Care Foundation (ACF) and Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) late on Friday night. The python had several ticks, which took vets more than two hours to remove.

Sunish Subramanian, president of ACF, said they got a call from Datta Bali, a resident of Konkipada, Dahisar East, stating that a python had been seen inside an auto in a parking compound. “Our volunteers Akshay Bacche and Prafull Jondhale saw that the python was entangled on the meter box of the auto. It was then taken to wildlife veterinarian Dr Manish Pingle,” he said.
